As a consequence of a recent change in the policy of BUPA regarding reimbursement of chiropractic fees, BUPA will no longer be covering chiropractic treatment provided at Wokingham Chiropractic Centre.
This effectively means that patients who have private health insurance provided by BUPA will not be able to recoup their chiropractic treatment fees from BUPA.
Patients who had treatment authorised by BUPA prior to 8th March 2013 can still be reimbursed for chiropractic care up to the end of May 2013 but no new authorisations will occur.
Wokingham Chiropractic Centre has not been singled out in this regard – this change of strategy by BUPA potentially affects all chiropractic and osteopathic practices outside the M25.
We realise that this change will inconvenience patients who have been able to recoup their treatment fees from BUPA in the past.
